Ace Cafe's TRITON & Cafe Racer Day 2009

Post  Wallace on Mon 29 Jun - 23:26

I went down to the Ace yesterday. The weather was good and the bikes were great. What more could you want....

This could be a good event next year for a forum meet up.

Brilliant photos...!

This one puzzles me:

It's the first time I see a Kawasaki cafe racer, especially carrying the classic Kawa logo on the tank, like this... I was hoping to be the first to come out with the idea to put a "Z650" logo on my Ducati caferacer seat... Sad
It's hard to say which model it is... Could be Z900, could be Z1000...
The front callipers, fork, front wheel and clocks look like original Kawa parts... I'd say it's a Z1000, but I wouldn't bet my bike on it...
Still: a great looking piece of mechanic!!

Do you have any idea if this event was in some way filmed, for Youtube use for example...?

Yes, one of my friends filmed it. I'll find out what he's done with it, and let you know.

Itīs time to look for a house near London - so the way to the ACE is not so far - or i buy a motorhome and live in front of the ACE. I see Featherbed frames with modern Bonni engine - is it possible to buy such frames ??

I think Unity Equipe do a special Featherbed (style) for the Hinkley Bonnies.
