Re: try to build a CR 750

Hi.
Been bussy with lots of parts of the bike.
Bought a gashandle in Austria
Cut the old oilreservoir into pieces for a new one.

Made a simple standard for the engine and cleaned the engine.

To be able to work on the bike in the future I will weld-on a bracket for a firm standard.
This way the rear-wheel, -shocks and -fork can be removed

Now I'm waiting on Ebay for some rearshocks.

Next on the line are new rims. Alloy 18 inch. Front 2,15 with the original hub and 40 spokes.
And rear 2,5 and a light hub with 36 spokes.
Does anyone know where they sell nice rims? I know Haan-wheels but is there any other place to get some nice rims?

It's been a while since I posted something here.
Not that I've been sitting on my hands, just no time to post it here.

First I build me an oiltank.
Took the tank from a Tamiya model and made a 1;1 scale tank.

next was the dashboard.
Again took the one from the scale-model and made it from aluminium.

Yeh, it's the nicest place to be beside our bed.

A guy called Nap lend me his CR-gastank. Now I can make models for the seat and place the steeringdamper.
It's great to see the bike with this huge aluminium gastank.

Now the steeringdamper is in place.

Hi there Sven,
Thanx, but there are several nice projects here.

The rear of the frame is cut off.
I also had to change the bracket for the oiltank.
The frame is being welded this week to look better than before.

In the meanwhile I've rebuild the frontfork.

To be able to change the in/ and outgoing damping Ive bought a special valve witch will be build in the fork.
To let this part do its job well it is nessesary to drill bigger holes in the inner fork.

And now I also lowerd the frontfork in a very simple way.
Just slide a ring in the innner fork and the fork is lowerd as far as you want to.
Can't waith to see how it looks if the fork is put in place.

Seat is back in 1 piece.
I've styled it a little and painted the rearside black.
Now I can fabricate the brackets to hold the seat. And the upholstery.

And after that the rearlights will be put in place.
