Yep, leave it!
It wouldn't look classic!
(we like black cylinders cause the first caferacers
with british engines had some, that was because
the cylinders on that bikes were not alloy, as head
and crankcase but cast iron. It wouldn't have made
sense to grind the fins of those, as they'd be rusty
next day. So they were all black.)

just got a 73 cb350f can you point me in the right direction
