Bultaco Metralla GT 250 cc

Post  pepeprat on Thu 10 Dec - 16:44

Hi there:
I'm talking about a Bultaco Metralla GT 250 cc. This one was not as known as the GTS, but almost the same. VIN 142.000.xxx. I thing only in red colour. As you can see, the original fabric and the one I buy. I know, I know, I know, too much work for a 250cc, but I'm a Bultaco lover and this do not underestand about money. I want to make a cafe, not making as the original. but some little changes make this one a "bomb". There will be more interesting photos.
Sorry with my english.

Een beetje poetsen en een paar keer remmen zodat de roest eraf vliegt en rijden met dat ding. cheers

Veel succes er mee in ieder geval.

lots of work but probably also lots of fun! I would prefer the drum as in the factory picture, then it would be a real bomb-caf! Shocked

I'll think about the original, but then I find another one better, stronger, beautiful .....
What do you think?

Bultaco rocks!

i've been looking for a lobito 125 enduro bike for ages.

I didn't know they made these nice looking street bikes. Don't worry about the engine size. A 250 Two stroke lightweight will ride the snot out of a lot of 4 strokes anyway

If you need information about Bultaco Lobito tell me, because I have a lot of information about all Bultaco's.

If you need general information about it or the other "tacos", you can consult this:

http://www.bultacosc.com/modelos.php?h=3

you'll find all technical information.

More detail information, parts, accesories could consult:

Good luck Very Happy

That bike looked nice in any color:

Ive always thought the Metralla GT or GTS would make a Great Cafe!! Always liked that tank shape and it had probably one of the best looking stock 2-stroke Chamber/pipes Ive ever seen ...at least of what Ive seen in the USA. Ive never been able to find a Bultaca Metralla 250 i could afford here in California! But i look on occasion.
Your "Stoked"!! Not a waste of time because it's a 250. It's a 2-stroke and can not be compared to a 4-stroke by engine size alone!! If you were to compare it ...maybe closer to a 500cc 4-stroke in power (just throwing that number out there). You can pump that baby up too! I have an RD350 and trust me its not the same as a 4 stoke!!
What was the difference of the GT & GTS anyways?

I look forward to seeing this bike Cafe'd! I agree a large Drum Brake would look great! Slip a 230mm in there if you can find one affordable, other wise look for a Doner from another bike ...maybe an old Suzuki or something.

Here's a cafe:

and then there was the Streaker 74cc & 125cc:
