In the past I used to wear old boots, jeans, jacket and a normal helmet.
After I have seen a few chrashes from up close, and my riding has become wilder and wilder I shifted up to a 2 piece leather suit and better helmet.

I don't care if it looks 'wrong' or 'stupid', coolness can be found in the fridge next to the beers, I am wearing clothes that fit me and feel good when riding. I feel protected etc.

In the summer I even sometimes ride with shorts and a t-shirt on

J just put on my old seventies motorcyclesuit or only the jacket. I don't really care a lot about how I look on the bike. I'm not that much of a fashion freak. The bike is what's important to me, but hey: I respect everyone's opinion on that. Wink

i'm a stylefreak, i have a old leather jacket full with pins and some patches, jeans or leather trousers and old-style wookerboots. Now lookin for a old helmet from the fities/sixties like Stadium, Kangol and Everoak or i'm gonna buy a new Davida and paint it.

I wear the left one for going out and casual wear. the right one is for cold winters on the bike.

other things that gets me going on the road, oldskool boots , new boots, different types of gloves...

My helmets

Nice looking jackets, almost a jacket for everyday of the week!

Like i wrote earlier, i always dress up in an old leather racingsuit, i have two of them, a thin one for summer temperatures and a thicker for some colder days.

Maybe a quick jump to the UK could make you save some € ... Wink

A quick search gave me this on the website of a dealer:

www.scootercafe.co.uk wrote:
Davida Helmets Made in England!

Possibly the most exciting addition to our range of crash helmets.
Davida helmets are individually hand built to precise standards at their workshops near Liverpool. Construction is fibreglass composite shell with leather lined interior and I can honestly say are absolutely stunning with a massive range of designs and colours or even a bespoke design service. As well as all this they fit like no other open face helmet I have ever tried.
All helmets are made to your specification so whilst they can be bought from our stock most often they are special ordered and take 2-3 weeks, but we promise are well worth the wait!.
Prices range from £195 to £235 depending on design.

Between €225 and €270; not that expensive!

If you would buy such a jeans, better go immediately to the factory in Brakel! Friendly people who will help you choose Cool

Even better: Order them in the USA. I know a shop that will have them for 250 US$, that'll be about 180,- euro's.

Re: how do you dress up on your caferacer ?

Post  Stimy on Sat 12 Mar - 14:16

i'm now looking at several stuff

for my head:

i've got an OSBE Helmet but it isn't exactly that comfortable.
i'm gonna buy
A ROOF Boxer V8 for long trips
and a nice oldskool Bobber style helmet with goggles.

for my body:

i'got a motorcycle look-a-like jacket but without any protection.
so i'm going to buy a nice vintage look jacket from Richa with shoulder, back and ellbow protection.

pants will be jeans with kevlar padding, same as Bullet showed a few posts earlier.

and the boots will be a pair of repro WW2 airborne boots.
http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQk6bqTOvKNnAVBhEFuDXvVkfLKCXUgVyUsDu4FMipbGVqjhHdV&t=1

i'm looking at sort of periodic look + safety
