CB500 Four

Post  PhatAlburt on Tue 20 Apr - 2:05

Hey all how is going, My name is Will and I just picked up My first Bike. Its a !971 CB500 Four, I have never been into things that everyone else is and i have always been into the classic, They are so much cooler in my opinion than a brand new sport bike. So after searching for a while i finally found a good starting base in the price range i was willing to spend. I have many big plans for it coming soon but my first plan is to get it running, She has no spark. So if there are any CB Guru's out there with some much needed info please share, I am a great Mechanic but i have never worked on A 70's Motorcycle before so I don't know what kind of Voltage readings to look for to start isolating what part of the Ignition it is. My first plans are to get rid of the Sofa seat and put a nice uncomfortable single on it and then start stripping all the paint off of the frame and tank and give it a nice mellow color. Anyways here she is and more updated photo's to come as i start upgrading.

Haha yes the seat is very comfortable, but terribly hideous, it will be one of the first things to go. I think i am going to modify it and re upholster it to look smaller but still be able to seat two for when the girl wants to ride on the back. Thanks all for the kind welcome afro
