CX 500 Caferacer/streettracker

Post  Illuster on Fri 5 Nov - 16:23

Okay,

It's been awhile since I last was here.

Here's my cx500 Caferacer as it was last time (and still is):

I liked it but it was stil a bit raw. Ever since I started working on this bike I was in doubt which way I wanted to go: caferacer or streettracker. Now I made up my mind:......................Both.

I want a bike which can easily be transformd in either. So first I'll start with the streettracker and then the caferacer ( I want to build a compleet new Feultank for that version which will take time).

Oke Got some work done. I've cut of the mount for the speedo and rev counter, cut out the fuse box on top of the triple clamp. removed the lump. Took the rear fork apart (cleaning it now). Got some motocross handlebars. Now I'm gonna cut the subframe, clean up the rear shocks etc. etc. Oh by the way I photoshopped a schetsch of what I want to look like when finished (the caferacer version at least). Still got to find a way to shorten the front forks ( I do have a spear set so I can try at least).

Here's some pictures.: the schetsch
It's current stage:

Oh and this is what it used to look like: (this isn't mine but it's the same model)
