Hello from Serbia

I am Igor and i am 34.I have 1973 BMW R50/5 in factory condition but I whant to convert it in a hardcore cafe-racer.I have my garage where I service Japanese bikes for a living.My father have Suzuki GS 650 G and one same in peaces.I will use some parts of it in my project.Need some help about flywhell lightening.Pls be free to e-mail with some advices

Nice to have some more beemers here. One way to get the lighten flywheel on is to change the crankshaft from a newer bike that has the other bolts. The /5 has eather 10mm or 11mm bolts and the newer oposit. If so you have to change the gearbox to. If not there is a company named Becks in Holland that takes of the metal for you, and that will probably be down to 2kg +. Im putting on a lighten flywheel and neewer gearbox on mine.

Love to see the outcome of the bike.
