rd 125 cafe racer

well its been a long time since i visted here, since building my t200 cafe racer



i have moved to sweden and bought an rd 125 i like small two strokes and could not resist a bargain at 300 swedish crowns

starts first kick runs well i have no idea what the previous owner has done to the bike

so begins my new project

well so far new tank, the bikes had a bit of a clean, know just got to lose excess weight and oil tank and air filter box etc, sort the ridged shocks Very Happy and start sourcing parts Very Happy

just stripping engine at moment, it needs new pistons and cylinders, and i need a new angle grinder... and were can i get a pair of 31mm clipons Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Just bought a new rd need it only for frame and part of engine the rest is scrap

I would try and sell the "scrap" to other owners on the forum or through e(vil)Bay... you might be surprised in what these parts are worth out there in the wild...

I agree with the above I don't know about in other places but in california its harder and harder to find good original RD parts.

Other than that looking forward to seeing more of this one I love the RD's I want a few more once I finish this one.

well the frames had all the useless bit cut off and and primed ready for rubbing down and painting black



bought some cheap clip ons they cleaned up well Very Happy

some of the best parts of a project is what it grows into as you build it. I think it would look pretty cool on it.
