Post  jaguar on Tue 14 Jun - 6:17

Well im building a K and an F right now.

This is my K

Its a 1971 CB750 that I bought cheap while semi drunk at a bar playing in ebay on my Iphone.....

It ran, had a title and was only $300! I thought for sure someone would have paid more just based on some of the prices that ive seen....

bracing the frame

Polishing some bits

19/18 Lesters for this bike too!

I agree I wouldnt have spent more.
But the market is inflated here near NYC
And by inflated I mean VERY inflated.

larger master for the dual disc set up
I have to double check that the bore will work but its off a DOHC CB750 with single pots so i would think that its fine

Adjustable clubmans fit great.

Does Torazzi make a fork brace for the early Cb750s?
cant seem to find one but thought that they did.
If they do can it be used with a stock front fender?

If not any links to fork braces that bolt on and work with the stock fender?

I need an education in swing arm bearings.
kind of thinking bronze for this bike instead of the needle bearings i used on my F but not 100% sure

I see that the early bike have different bushing then the later ones
one has lip and the other doesn't, but heard of some people using latter ones on early bike and swaping around spacers???
why?

bronze or needle bearings?

She needs chains and guides and i was thinking about sending the crank to APE to have it lightened and balanced...
Plan is to blue print the engine.
Not sure about just keeping it standard size (.25 if it needs it) or jumping up to a 836?
I want to keep it on a budget and not just throw money at it so....im not sure
Heard some place that the early rotors are crazy heavy compared to the latter ones???? is that true?

wonder how that got there?

i guess going to 836 is gonna cost you alot more than doing 0.25 !! as you mentioned not to overdo it with the money.

Dont know about the rotor.

Thinking that the triple will need to be polished now. I like the polished look and kinda want to treat one nice after seeing how bad fuller treated one....lol

tires are in so now its time to finish cleaning/polishing the wheels

I know that the rear tube is fine but is the front to small???
