TinTin's new toy

Post  TinTin on Wed 7 Sep - 23:19

Today I got myself a bike that I dreamt of since I saw a neighbour ride it 12 years ago.... a Laverda TS 1200!

usually they cost a fortune but this one was pretty cheap but has been under a tarp for 8 years outside in rain and shine so it needs a lot of attention. I already got a spare batt on it to see what is going on... no lights whatsoever but the starter motor ran and the engine is loose. That is promising

Plans: get it running and scare the neighbours for a while after that I might take it apart and do a complete repsray and change the bodywork a bit... it began life as this so it already looks a lot better now

Laverda

Post  Hank on Sat 12 Nov - 1:04

Nice clean big enigine and a excelent cyclepart. Ideal to make a nice riding cafe-racer, or original styled Laverda ( but then I hope you get inspired by some other Laverda models )
Good luck
