I do have a frontfender, it's not a very nice one though. So yeah, I do get very dirty riding in wet conditions, but in Holland we have a saying: It will hurt if you wantto be beuatifull Wink

and I found a better frontfender (still need to get it over here though).

anyway, better pics:

I'm happy with the headlight. I'm going to try another lighbulb (with 'classic' yellow light) to see if that looks even better.

Don't worry, I still feel embarassed when I tell people that I've got a BMW Wink

@ Reetman: Removing the forkbrace/bridge to get those rubbers on is a HELL of a job. It took me a few hours the last time I did it (the brace will only move about 0.5mm with each blow of a hammer). So I'm not going to put any on the bike :)

Thanx for the nice remarks!

As I allready mentioned before: I don't mind to help with that. With 2 (or more) caferacers you can make a really nice vid, would be a great way to promote this forum aswell...

Update:

I sprayed my new frontwheel yesterday:

(yes, I'm going to remove that tire so I didn't bother taping it)

I Also removed the crashed bars, and did a few small things like drilling the clutch and brake levers, lowering the clip ons and made a new shiftrod. I also had a lot of trouble starting the bike, it semed to get worse every day. It turned out to be two worn Orings in the choke mechanism of the carbs, took me a long time to find that....

And I also made a short vid (I've already posted this vid in another section of this forum aswell)

Only, if I were you, I would have sprayed the wheel with the new tire on, because most of the time you damage a little the fresh paint when you remove the old tire and place the new one... At least, it always happens to me

I repaced the original forntwheel for the freshly painted one yesterday, but it turned out that my new wheel also isn't straight. I'm getting a bit pissed off with the BMW exxperts in this country. One of the most famous ones from Limburg gave me the wrong advise a couple of times wich has cost em a lot of money allready and now this one is first selling me forkbraces that don't fit and now he traded thos fopr this wheel wich isn't straight. I asked him 3 times before I bought that wheel. All the effort of getting the weheel by train, painting and switching the wheels, all for nothing.

Evil or Very Mad :box1:

I'm going to swap it for a new wheel this week. In the meantime I resprayed the headlight, changed the oil and the forkoil, made the whole frame paintjob just a litle bit tighter, coated the tank, got the petcocks and the carburators sonically cleaned and replaced a few Orings in the carbs. Changing the fork oil made a HUGHE difference, it rides a lot better now!

I bought them at a garage that does old French cars. It's a duplolight though, so it won't fit straight into a H4 socket.
