No problem with me, to use it!

Thanx, I just took the liberty to place the adres at the end of the clip, glad it;s ok with you. Maybe it will attract a few more caferacers, the more, the better.

had to repaint the tank. I also started installing rearsets. Next job will be to build a exhaust muffler myself. I want a shorter one with a warmer sound, but I'll also have to find a way to prevent it from getting louder. I'm thinking of installing a kind of butterfly valve that i can operate witha button on my headlight so I can go trough build up areas without shattering windows....

Really captures the Spirit of Cafe.
I like your attention to mechanical operation
and the clip is Gr8t...
Now I am wanting also to do the same thing...

With your muffler butterfly, maybe operated with a starter solinoid,
they have a long throw arm to swing open or close a perforated baffle...
volume will give deeper sound...

Hey well done...

Thanx. I had the plan to use an exup sefvo of an YZF 750R. The exup is bassically the same... But there's no need, at idle and just above idle the sound is acceptable with the new exhaust :)

You don't want to know how that exhaust originally started life...

What an interesting Bike...
This owner knows his mind.
New muffler suits well the pipe wrap.
All tank, seat, motor and wheels and rearsets..
What a beauty...

It's been a while.... So here's an update:

I renewed a lot of gaskets, cleanded the heads, instaled stainless steel pushrodtubes, replaced the timing chain, polished the timing chain cover, installed a few new parts to charge the battery, installed new velocutysstacks, repainted the engine and finally asjusted and synchronised the carburators.

Thanx!

You can listen to the sound here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSW72xsF4gk

I did some filming yesterday and I'll be making a videoclip again soon. Had a good time filming and riding yesterday. Just a shame that it had to start pooring with rain and that I got stung by a wasp while riding back. Big red hump on my leg now....

Anyway, the bike rides fabulously!

Hi Miob - THIS is the first BMW i really like. This is a ride, raw, loud, minimal - cool ! I SIT only one time in my live for 1 minutes on a GS1100 - but on your bike i will RIDE . So i remember last time your start pic.
WELL DONE!!!
This is one of the bikes in our forum, that shows that it need not so much money to build a very cool C-racer. What┤s your next ???

'My' next is allready on the way. It's a very low (even lower than the BMW) budget chopper out of a XV 920 Virago. Where making it really wild. My current job oin the bike is puting the downdraftcarburator of a Opel Kadet B on a specially made (by me) intake manifold. This how far we are now:

Thanx. The pic doesn't do the bike justice though, it's way cooler in real life :)

But I won't start a topic about the build since it's neither a caferacer, nor a classic bike. It's a very slow build anyway, so I'll probably post some pics again in this topic when we get any further.

This bike was an evolution...turned out very nice. An old school chrome fender on the front might look cool?
