Zo ben weer wat bezig geweest!

Weinig tijd gehad.

Zitje passend gemaakt!

Gemonteerd

Post  marc on Thu 18 Jun - 9:52

Thnx guy's

Sorry didn't post in English!.

Yesterday I finished up the speedo:

The is the end result, and i'm very very happy with it Cool

Also repainted the seat! It really looks great now:

Also sanded the gastank and sprayed it with spray bondo.

After this I sanded it again an spayed the first layer of primer over it:

There is one dent left, wich I need to remove with bondo, after that is ready for the colour!! (ofcourse sanding, priming)

I still had the red tank so I put it on with the seat and It looked so great, that i'm going to paint to good tank red!!

So this weekend hopefully finish the tank and cover the seat! And then I'm going to rebuild the engine wich is then the last thing to do Cool

Oh yeah, a front fender! But thats a issue for later.

Red is the right colour for the tank, no doubt about that.

Thnx guys!

@luckyboy, a friend of mine desinged a background, and printed is on special paper. I gluyed(right word?) it on the old speedoface!

The reason, was simple, the orginal background was blue/green, didn't fit the bike! Razz

@Wallace/zed, yeah red will be the colour! Note, the red tank is the old tank what was one there orginal! Its a complete mess(inside, rust). The new tank is now in primer! And will be painted red eventually! cheers

I bought a complete tranmission of a CB360 in america and got it a few weeks ago!! The shaft is perfect compared with the old one:

Cleaned all the inner parts and olied it an put it in bags, I cleaned the complete cassing and ready for a new layer of paint!

Also replaced all the electronics, made a basket and some brackets!:

Still needs some finishing work!

Hopefully start assembly of the engine this week Cool Cool

Great progress Marc,

I've been on vacation for the past 4 weeks so I couldn't reply.

I'm impressed by how you work on that engine all the time. My heart skips a beat if I even have to pull out 1 screw.

Just do it :p

No! What andreas says is right take the time for it!!! My advise start small!!

I started with an engine of a puch maxi! After that started with Zundapp engine's. Did about 20 of them!

Then I did a Honda 5speed MB50 moped, wich is nearly the same as mine! As for the transmision!

And then I started with the Honda! I didn't wanted to do it! But I was neccaserry!

And work clean!! Use a system to store, clean, use everything! And don't be afraid to ask help from veterans on that area!

Did a lot of work on the engine

start of the rebuild:
Schaft

Shiftvorks:

Neutral stand:

Shiftingmechanisme:

Crankshaft and shats.

Lower casing:

Ready for assambly:

Everything was dirty so I disassembled the valve's.

Cleaned it all and got rid of the old painting:

Got this clamp from the Gamma:

Did some modifications with the grinder and it was ready to use as an Valve Compressiontool!

Mounted the valve's:
First insert the valve

Lower holder and valveseal!:

2 springs and upper springholder:

Working perfect Very Happy

Inserts:

All the other one's

Ready for painting:

Louse mounted:

tightend:

tightend at the right moment:

Here started the story of the fucked torquewrenge.

When I was mounting the casing 3 bolts snapped, because the wrenge isn't at the right moment, but was set right! Cheap stupid tool!

Turned the engine over, for the new bolds wich got ruined with the torquewrenge.

But some of the threads where gone so I had to renew them with a helicoil!
And mounted everything again!

Pistons! erop:

Nice one's!!

Had the same problem with the cilinders, bolts snapped, renewed the threads:

Mounted

Head with valve's.

Mounted:

Put the valvecover and right casing on prevething that any dirt will get in the engine!
