ziet er goed uit, behalve...... de zaak kan wel weer uit elkaar,
want je hebt twee klepveren verkeerd om zitten.
de windingen die dichter op elkaar zitten moeten aan de cil.kopzijde
geld trouwens ook voor de kleine veren.....
je " progressive " veer heeft dus een hoger gewicht aan n kant zitten.
dit gewicht belast je klepmechanisme nogal, bovendien is het
part van onafgeveerd gewicht, en dat wil je liefst zo klein mogelijk houden.

Goed dat je dat opmerkt burner , wat sneu dat het uit elkaar moet, maar beter een keer meer uiteen dan een nieuwe nokkenas !

Great job youre doin` Marc.

En goed dat je dat ziet burner. In mijn werkplaatshandboek van de XS750 staat het ook expleciet vermeld.

Ben erg blij dat je het ziet burner, hier heb ik totaal geen rekening mee gehouden en is mij ook niet opgevallen!! Bedankt dat je het ziet, de kop zat toch nog niet vastgetrokken want heb nog geen goede momentsleutel!

Staat ook gewoon in het handboek!:



Did some work yesterday!

two extra kickstarter covers!


I use them for this Razz closing the ends of the frame!



The mountingbrackets of the seat still needs some work!

Mounting the clutch:








Extra piece of rubber for the brackets of the seat!


Got some new tappethole covers! They look big right know, but I think it will look cool when the engine is in the bike!!

The new valve covers look good Marc, better for those hot summer trips , polished they will look prety smart on the black engine what do you think ?

Yeah your right Toecutter!!

@hofman, no its all stock!! My first rebuild of an 4stroke engine so I wanted the do it all by the book Razz

I borrowed a torquewrenge in the garage I work. This evening finishing the engine!

Did a lote of research for the paint, with a lot of bad luck, tested several red matt colours, but that didn't worked out. So I got a can of Motip Carpaint 41460 red. Also completly mounted the front brake and some handlebar weights.

Did some work yesterday,

mounted the head:


I dropped a bolt in Evil or Very Mad but got it out!!


Measured the camshaft clearance, needs to be between 0,07 and 0,3mm and its nice on 0,15!



Crankshaft set in the right position:


Mounted the chain and sprocket:


Finished:


Valvecover on:



Breathercap and ignition mounted:



Engine is almost ready!! :cool:

Chopped the end of, of some bolts and glued this in the logo's!



Hopefully finishing the tank this evening!

Did a lot of work!!

Had to redo the complete tank, because the paint was reacting Sad








After this, some new bondo! Spray putty, primer primer, sanding sanding Razz and the finishing coat, sneak preview:

A broken connector, made it again, and shortend the cable:

Have been sick for a few days after my holiday! After that did some work on the bike!

Made a new bracket for the seat en licence plate!

Also a lot of small things, made alloy pieces for the steering on the (kroonplaat) so the clipons won't hit the tank!

Adjusted the complete engine, valve's, camchain, ingnition and clutch, all electronics are connected and tested Cool

And polished the tank!!

The list is getting smaller!!

Tomorrow I will get some fuelllines and gascable an hopefully start it up Cool Cool

Now I need a good name for it!

Yes yes Marc , i love the stance of the first picture , the tail is facing a bit upwards and therefor it resembles speed :) , go figure , 'an upwarding ass resembles speed'... ?

Sorry guys, I started at a new school since the summer, simply bin to busy! But I'm back Razz

Did some few things on the bike:

- new license plate,
- sport air filters
- new battery, and made a new battery-box, and a box for the wiring.

No photo's yet! Hopefully I can start with the wiring this week!! When thats don I can start him hopefully!! Cool

Didn't do a lot on the bike unfortunately. This week I have some exams from school! And the week after that I will continue!!

Did some work on the electronics!! They are alright know!!

Then some work on the seat! Exhaust!!
