vraagje remklauw

Post  denbullie on Tue 26 Jan - 22:56

Marc,

Peter Buls

Nice work!!!

Did you make that license plate yourself, or where did you buy it?
How are you gonna put letters on it?

It must be real nice to be able to welt things yourself.

Keep up the good work?

Hey CJ I bought the licence plate at marktplaats.

I think I'm going to make stickers with the license plate.

Yeah welding is really nice in house.

Made the exhaust fit!! It is even better then I had in mind!! Take a look:

And after that we started up the bike for the first time since the rebuild in the summer!! One start and I runned!!!

Its not running complete perfect!! Need to adjus the ignition and synchronise the carbretors!

Thats it for now!!

Re: honda cb360 caferacer project!

Post  marc on Tue 23 Mar - 17:40

Finally I know why the engine stalls!! There is a piece missing in the engine:

This holds the chainslipper from getting in touch with the chain!!

I bought another CB360 for the engine!!

Teared the complete bike down:

The engine of this bike is in superb condition and will be used for my bike!! In combination with the new pistons, rebuild head!

Cleaning!

After a lot of cleaning rebuild the engine yesterday

Cleaned!

Olied everything up and a few drops of loctide on the bearing, and put it all together

The fresh crankcase with the missing piece :p

Rebuild-ed the clutch, oilpump/rotor.

Now I have to wait for the clutchcover to be welded and some parts from the USA and I will place this engine in the bike!!

a little question

Post  Dunewar on Fri 2 Apr - 13:06

This looks very nice!

I'm working on a CJ360T myself (first project), could I ask you some questions?

How did you remove the oil filter cap? I can't get it off. I tried prying it off with a screwdriver, no luck. The manual says something about screwing in a 6 bolt, but there's no movement. It seems like it's not meant to come off, or am i doing something wrong?

I must say, the engine I'm working on is totally f*** up by the previous owner, a lot of screwheads are damaged etc... What's the worst that can happen if the centrifugal oil filter isn't clean inside?

Re: honda cb360 caferacer project!

Post  marc on Wed 7 Apr - 19:48

@duneware, ofcourse you can, a lot of people helped me so if I can help someone!! First take the circlip out, and then indeed al long m6 bolt and screw it in, eventually the cap wil pop out!!

Hope you don't have a bad engine like I had!! The worst nightmare of the bike Evil or Very Mad

Did some work in between the exams.

Sprayed the engine:

Bought a secondhand rockers wich are in perfect condition. In the engine are NOS rockers at the moment I will use them for rebuilding the other engine with a NOS camshaft.

One engine out!

I forgot to make some picture's of the rebuild. But the engine is already in completly! Only thing thats left is the clutchcover, a teacher of mine at school is welding this for me!! There is a little crack just above the oilfilter fitting.

Solved another problem, because I changed the angle of the exhaust the stand(juiste woord voor standaard?) will hit the chain.

I modified the bar on the other side.

Welded in a bolt.

Glued a nut in this piece of rubber with a kind of supermand kit! This is the result

Only a new layer of paint and then its ready!!
Nou nog even spuiten en dan is die klaar, in de toekomst nog eens laten coaten.

Bought a new camera of a friend of mine, canon eos350D made some practice pics of the bike!:

Fitting the bike!

The list is getting shorter and shorter!!

- Start and adjust the engine.
- Finish up the wiring
- Make a new mount for the seat.
- Cover up the seat.
- Mount the exhaustwrap
- Some small details

- Ride a lot of km's!! But there will go something wrong again for the first test ride Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad
