I like the taillight. Nice with the text on it. The supports are also a great job.

I have a question . Doest the rearwheel not touch the number plate when you sit on the bike, or when you gonna ride on the bike ? It seems verry tight to the rearwheel. On my bike its gonna be the same as here, but i'm not shure it wil work properly.

Very Happy
It is indeed very close. If I sit on it, and bump a little bit, the numberplate have still 1 cm clearence. I hope it is enough.
If it is not enough I can bend the numberplate bracket a little.

Besides this, in the future I want longer shocks at the rear (2 or 3 cm longer) so then, this all is not a problem.

cheers brake lines are in!
Normally it wont take this long, but the forget mine (offcourse)

I went directly from the brake caliper to the head unit, instead of using a short steel line and then the hose.

Can't tell how they brake. It was raining very badly and it will be the first time I start the engine after the compleet rebuild and new electronics.

It looks very slick, now when the weather is better the test ride can begin Very Happy , People are always full of the better quality of steel brake hoses, i also ordered stailnless hoses for the F2 and waiting for them to arrive. Carry on !

I orded them at Motoport Hengelo.

Just measured the distance, made a drawing of the two lines with end caps under the right corner.
For example 90 degrees, 30 degrees, straight.

Saturday I mounted my megaton exhaust. I made a toturial how I did this.

And I did modifed my kickstarter. Because I have Raask sets on my bike, I can't use mine kickstarter.
I cut the the lever off the kickstarter and welded it on another angle and shorter to the end.
The result is that the kickstarter will not touch the peg or brakepedal.

This week two presents came in.

A alu front fender from Rocket caferacerparts and a second tank.

Is there anybody who has experience with putting chrome on a tank? (Dutch word: verchromen)
I thought that this will look very cool.

Ai, very pricy!

I still don't knwo what to do with it.
I saw a movie here on the forum where a guy hits dents in the tank.
Was planning to do the same thing. Maybe it is better that I paint the tank afterwards.
This way, I can coverup the little dents with filler, witch may occur.

Re: Dutch Honda CB 750F1 caferacer

Post  Hofman on Wed 6 May - 22:48

A new update after some very busy weeks.
I've been very busy with the bike................... riding it Very Happy

Does anybody have ideas about covering up the electronics?

In less then a month I add 1200 km to the racer. no 'real' problems so far.
In the beginning it seems the battery would not charge. But that was not the problem.
I think the (scooter) battery is a little bit to small for a motorbike. In cold condition and after 3 of 4 days there are some difficulties with the electric starter. It take a while before the engine start. In warm conditions there are no problems.
And so what...I've got a kickstarter to Wink

And this week my neutral light broke down. Maybe because of the vibrations. The lights are mounted into a steel plate, directly onto the upper (kroonplaat )

And of course the oil consumption. But I'm not planning to do much about it. I use very cheap oil and this way I never have to change oil.

Here some other pics.

my new front fender. Lowered the bracket so that the fender would come closer to the tire (saw another guy on the forum who did this afro )

And the extra gastank I bought. Will not work on it in the short furture. To many other things to do.
