Hi Hofman - it will be a long work to rebuild a carb like this. This bike will be a "presenationbike" for my small "company".
So this is the reason for that "blink blink" work. I`m sure a normal carb rebuild is no problem for guys with "two right" hands.

Hi marc - yes - a small "company" called " retro speed style 61". I work only for privat fun - and for guys who like perfect work until the smallest part. "Individual bike rebuild " are the magic words for what i do.

Hi marc - it`s not a really bussiness - i work normaly for friends - and most time for me. But over the time it will be more, and more. I also work on classic bikes without motor.

Hi Luckyboy - what a Nickname!! Look under "technic tutorials" - here you find a lot of "tipps" for working on your bike.
A part from me is " how to prepare old parts" and " metamorphose of old yamaha aluwheels" - any question - send a mail or post a reply. Andreas
Some extra Info for down under. Look on www.deux.com.au/ and www.vanem.com.au/
Nice parts for your SR project! Andreas

Hey Andreas,

Very, very nice work! I think we have a lot in common. At least we have the same taste and a drive for perfectionism.

My silent dream is to open a concept store such as deus ex machina, who knows, maybe in the future!

Good luck with your next project!

Hi Wout,
my dream is very close to yours. "R"ace cafe north Germany and a shop like Vanam, Deux or Payton - and the "forming fingers" from Mister Krugger - if you don`t know him, look on www.krugger.net/
Life is to short to work on secondary things!

Re: Blue Diva SR 500 project from Andreas

Hi C- Racer arround the world - thanks for the " flowers" ! It`s good for the "screwersoul" to read that you like my bike and the work arround. But let me say - anybody can do this! If you want to have a bike like this - it is no secret -
think about your project - write a "to do list" look for partners to help you, and prepare with normal tools your parts before some "profis" make the rest.
Example? - if you look on the kickstart like it comes from yamaha. Raw, ugly and no "optic balance" for me. Take a B&D belt grinder and slip on the kicker fixed on a vise until the surface is complet without marks. Look on you lokal "yellowpages" for a guy who put new chrom on it. So you get a part in perfect condition - and it`s only your idea to do this - this is a big part of my way to rebuild an old bike. So thanks for all respect but a lot of unnone guys help that it looks like you see it here. And once more again - YOU CAN DO THIS IF IT`S YOUR INTENTION !
And for any help - here is your forum to ask for help!!

Re: Blue Diva SR 500 project from Andreas

Post  Luckyboy on Sat 16 May - 1:48

Thanks Andreas, You are very good for me and my project...
After I read your note, I can see that in every little thing, is the whole project condensed down to that one single component. it is a very interesting insight, from a seed the tree grows.
And so as in Nature, we do the same thing... focus on the item, and let the big picture take shape...
Ending up with something that is a thing of creative beauty.
Then we can go for a ride on it, and breath Heaven and feel Heaven...

Even something as simple, and un spectacular as the sidestand..
Now I am going to focus on just that one component.
I follow your good advice to gring away the rough casting marks,
and see what beauty I can find inside.

You know I have often seen smooth gracefull sidestands, and I look at them, smooth with nice lines, a good foot and mabe a nice chrome spring but for some reason I was unable to see the connection...
That mine can also be like that, I can pleasure take in just flicking my sidestand down, I like it...

My father is my best partner, he often comes over and helps out...
I seen him on the little buffing wheel I use, buffing the thin edge of some washers I use attached to pedastel drill. He also has an eye like Andreas, maybe I will follow his lead more closely, I seem to get lost in the big stuff...

Hey thanks, great post
very generous to pass your clear vision to us new guys like me.
Just great.

So here is the last update, pick up my bike at VD classic - nice and friendly guys - anything work. Cool machine to ride, stressless, and good feeling between the legs! Nothing work like a big one! So next step is to finish some details and then
the "dark way" to the German TÜV comes next. Hope i get the license to make some good noise!! Andreas

And one more closer.
