So, c-racer - short update. Change the tire ( 140,-€ !) build a chainguard ( 5,-€ ) replace the drumcover in a version with ventilation holes, change the oilfiltercap in an oldstyle typ - after sandblasting and - no question - high gloss
polish.

And an evening impression until a short testride. Last step is the repair of the rearend with taillight and licenceplateholder. Than the "trouble" day with the technical test procedure will come.

Have nice weekend - Andreas

Nice.

I like the oilfiltercap. It is in good lines with your cilinder.
And holes are (almost) always good!

Hi Toecutter - it`s time to meet you - to see who can be so philosophical ! But be sure - i can also. For my shop in the future the claim will be BIKE IMPRESSIOEN. And this mean eating in a bikeshop. Hope you understand this - with the German speakspot. So the Blue Diva must be so "perfect" as possible ( is it possible to compare PERFECT? ), cause it will be my "showshopbike". In the next month i start to build my dream - and here is a man in our forum who accelerate ( yes YOU luckyman!) this. If the time come i start a topic - and you all can follow what happen beside my house. So we see us in Oktober - friend with norton comes with me - and talk until the morning comes.

Andreas

In reality i`m complet different - but i have not so much time for it !!

Hey Andreas , nice to "speak" to you again, like you said , your Blue Diva has to be the perfection to your showcase, and as it is said , this is perfection. We only devote ourself to

perfection, but as it is , it is never there . Wink

btw : im looking forward to see you in person at the meeting , like i do for numerous people on the forum. Cool

I saw this sr 400 and 500 on this site http://www.gravel-crew.com/custom/c150.html , reminds me of what you do, seems you've got a little jap in you. I like these japanese, nice clean bobbers. I'm especially fond of that tx 650

Hi Dave, can be that a little "jap" is in me. the japanese scene arround SR400 is extrem. Allot of different typs and directions . I have more than 300 pics round about SR500 - but noone is like mine. Wait for the next - grey Diva is under construction and the "redraceDiva" is coming next time.

They can say: exhaust much to loud, no german licence, swingarm - no german licence, carb - not allowed for SR, wheels and tires in that version - no Yamaha release for that, and some "small" things more. Sorry my friends - this
is GERMANY!!!! - this mean MANY law and order on the road. I`m sure not 10 % off all bikers ride legacy with there
bike. So be lucky that you are in the Netherland - only some stupid policeman look if the licenceplate is not "flat" mounted on the bike

in 4 days i know more - and - no question - i ride that bike with these parts, legal or not !!
Life is a race - anything else is waiting !!

Checking time - after two years. New bikes must go every year to exhausttest for CO2 controll. My SR is old and "only" after two years i must go to TÜV ( technischer Überwachungs Verein ) shit control at all. But ( thanks for this) no CO2 control. New cars after 3 years, than 2 yaers, CO2 control every year. Wellcome to German "regulary affairs"
So wendsday we no it.

So today i change the oilfiltercap to a version in bicolour anodized black. I work on these parts myself. So first sandblasted, than polished - next step is eloxalbath, than grind the fins and highglosspolish at the end. Now this is the perfect part in combination with the bicolour cylinder.
I sell them on e-bay in different colours ( red, blue, gold, green, black). If someone want one, send a PM and you get for "forumprice" and free post!

Last update today - after a long time i get the springs back - now they have the same colour like all other blue parts. Change also the oilcoolertubes to a silver version. The blue tube don`t fit to the rest.
