F1 getting closer

Post  rearset on Fri 13 Mar - 10:34

the bike is now fully rideable and just needs some improvments, apart from painting I would like to fit new rear shocks, progressive front springs, electronic ignition and completely redo the front brakes, lots of money in that lot so they will have to wait for now. Below are the latest pics. Not 100% happy with the seat but it will do for now.

She's a true beauty!
But you're right about the seat, you should do something about it. The seat itself is looking good, but its shape doesn't really fit the bike...

I like the seat design/shape, I just don't like the finish on the vinal, I prepared it for the trimmer, padding etc but I think he has failed to finish it off nicely. I'll have it redone later....chris

Oh I think that the seat is looking fine. What I meant is that, at least on the photo, it looks like it's not fitting correctly on the frame, it looks too high at the back... Or not completely closed, let's say:

Maybe it's just on the picture

yes there is some debate here over the seat height too. I have options to fill the break though, small rear fender or perhaps fashion a took box there. I kinda like the naked look there anyway so filling it is only something I might ? do when the bike is totally finished......... chris
